Job Description
**Job Title:** Senior Data Engineer (2 openings) **Role Summary:** Design, build, and optimize a modern data platform using Snowflake, Fivetran, DBT, and cloud services. Deliver scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, and CI/CD workflows to enable analytics, BI, and machine‑learning across the organization. Balance architecture design with hands‑on implementation and production support. **Expectations:** - Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote (no exceptions). - Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering or related roles. - Proven expertise with Snowflake and cloud data warehouses (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliver autonomously. - Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills in a fast‑paced environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines. - Build and optimize dimensional and analytical data models for BI and ML use cases. - Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions. - Monitor, tune, and cost‑optimize data processing workflows. - Diagnose and resolve pipeline failures and performance bottlenecks. - Implement CI/CD processes and version control (Git) for production data workflows. - Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance throughout the data lifecycle. - Prototype and evaluate new tools, technologies, and architectural approaches. **Required Skills:** - Snowflake (cloud data warehouse) – hands‑on experience. - ETL/ELT orchestration tools (e.g., DBT, Airflow). - Proficient SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Scala, etc.). - Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP. - CI/CD pipelines and Git version control. - Data modeling for large‑scale warehouses. - Understanding of modern data architecture, ELT best practices, and data governance. - Ability to analyze large datasets for quality and insight. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred). - Relevant certifications (e.g., SnowPro Core, AWS/Azure/GCP Data Engineer) are a plus but not mandatory.
