Based in Montreal with occasional travel to sites in Quebec and Ontario. **Job Title:** Energy Projects Engineer **Role Summary:** Lead the design, planning, and execution of energy transport and generation projects within a pulp‑and‑paper manufacturing facility. Drive energy‑efficiency initiatives, manage multidisciplinary teams, and ensure projects run on time, within budget, and comply with industry standards. **Expectations:** - Deliver projects on schedule and within allocated budget. - Maintain high quality, safety, and environmental compliance. - Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and contractors. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design energy transfer systems and production units. - Plan, execute, and close projects from initiation to commissioning. - Perform energy‑efficiency analyses and recommend improvements. - Schedule, monitor, and control the work of technicians, engineers, and contractors. - Develop and track project budgets; report financial status. - Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to support decisions and continuous improvement. - Conduct site supervision to ensure progress and adherence to plans. - Coordinate closely with production and maintenance departments to meet delivery deadlines. - Execute additional assignments as directed by the Engineering Superintendent. **Required Skills:** - Minimum 5 years of project management experience. - Strong leadership and decision‑making under tight deadlines. - Proficient in MS Project, AutoCAD, Office Suite, Access, and basic networking. - English communication skills for working with suppliers and partners. - Problem‑solving aptitude and ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. - Professional engineer registration (Ordre professionnel) required. ---
