Job title: Cloud Engineer
Role Summary: Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP. Automate deployments using IaC, support CI/CD pipelines, monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with security standards.
Expactations:
- Minimum 5 years of professional cloud engineering experience.
- Proven expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong scripting proficiency (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Hands‑on experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of cloud networking, IAM, encryption, and regulatory compliance.
- Competence in monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy scalable, secure cloud architectures.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code to automate environment provisioning.
- Integrate and enhance CI/CD pipelines for streamlined deployments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud resources for performance and cost.
- Implement security controls, manage IAM policies, and enforce compliance.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support cloud-based applications and services.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years Cloud Engineering experience.
- Deep knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP services.
- IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation (2+ years).
- Container orchestration with Docker & Kubernetes (3+ years).
- Scripting: Python, Bash, PowerShell (3+ years).
- Monitoring: CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus (2+ years).
- CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions (2+ years).
- Networking, IAM, encryption, compliance best practices.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
- Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect) highly desired.
