Job Description
**Job Title** Release Train Engineer (RTE) **Role Summary** Lead and coordinate Agile Release Trains (ARTs) within a SAFe framework, driving continuous delivery of high‑value software products. Act as the nexus between development, product, and architecture teams, ensuring alignment, removing impediments, and maintaining program health metrics. **Expectations** - Conduct and facilitate all ART ceremonies (PI Planning, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt, Scrum of Scrums). - Promote Agile best practices across multiple teams and ensure program-wide cohesion. - Measure and report program performance: delivery timelines, quality, capacity, and risk. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement and agile transformation. - Serve as the primary communication point for stakeholders, providing transparency and alignment. **Key Responsibilities** - Coordinate cross‑functional Agile teams (Scrum Masters, Product Owners, engineers). - Anticipate and remove blockers that impede train progress. - Track and analyze key program metrics (velocity, defect rates, cycle time). - Facilitate PI Planning, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt workshops. - Partner with Release Train Engineers, Program Management, and Architecture to align priorities. - Communicate progress, risks, and decisions to executives, sponsors, and external stakeholders. - Support Agile coaching and training initiatives for teams and staff. **Required Skills** - Proven experience as an RTE, Program Manager, or Lead Scrum Master in a SAFe or equivalent large‑scale Agile environment. - Strong facilitation, communication, and cross‑functional leadership abilities. - Deep understanding of software development lifecycle and IT delivery processes. - Ability to drive metrics‑based decision making and continuous improvement. - Professional proficiency in English. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent professional experience). - SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification preferred (or equivalent large‑scale Agile credential).
