Job Description
Job title: Network Integration Engineer Role Summary Deploy and configure network infrastructure for a large post‑merger integration. Field‑site engineer responsible for staging, validating, and deploying switches, firewalls, routers, APs, and phone systems across multiple branch sites. Expectations - Contract: 4–6 months, on‑site, 5 days/week. - Full‑time presence at client sites, reliable schedule. - Deliver configuration documentation, inventory, and deployment reports. Key Responsibilities - Stage, configure, validate, and deploy network hardware (firewalls, switches, routers, APs). - Perform connectivity testing, troubleshooting, and post‑migration validation. - Assist with physical installation, cabling, equipment swaps, and coordination with on‑site technicians. - Maintain hardware inventory, track deployments, and manage equipment shipments. - Provide additional deployment support (laptop imaging, printer and phone system setup) as needed. Required Skills - 3+ years experience configuring switches, firewalls, wireless APs, and phone systems. - Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, and basic network troubleshooting. - Hands‑on experience with Fortinet, Cisco, and Ruckus devices preferred. - Proven ability to deploy or stage network equipment in production environments. - Experience with large‑scale rollouts, mergers, or infrastructure refreshes preferred. - Reliable, self‑directed on‑site work, with strong communication skills. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical experience. - Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, Fortinet NSE, Ruckus ULE) preferred.
