**Job title:** Middleware Consultant
**Role Summary:**
Provide end‑to‑end integration solution design, development, testing, deployment, and support using IBM Transformation Extender (WTX) 8.4+ or equivalent EAI technologies for client projects.
**Expactations:**
- 7+ years of experience in EAI design and development.
- 5+ years specializing in WTX (8.4+) or IBM Transformation Extender.
- Proven ability to work on contract engagements, deliver on schedule, and participate in on‑call support rotations.
- Strong communication skills to liaise directly with business stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead requirement gathering workshops, analyze business needs, and translate into system specifications.
- Draft component design specifications, integration requirements, and BPM workflows.
- Build Proof of Concept (PoC) to validate design concepts.
- Develop solution components in WTX within Eclipse; create ITX and IFD interface flows.
- Prepare test plans, cases, and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Log test results in HP ALM, remediate defects, re‑build and check‑in code to GIT/SVN.
- Coordinate UAT with business users and manage production deployment via TeamCity.
- Monitor interfaces, logs, and system stability; provide ad‑hoc support for defects.
- Document application usage, create support guides, and administer training sessions for end users.
- Perform application support activities, including installation, maintenance, alerting, and admin tasks.
**Required Skills:**
- Deep expertise with IBM Transformation Extender (WTX) 8.4+ or equivalent EAI platforms.
- Experience designing, developing, migrating, supporting, and monitoring integration solutions.
- Knowledge of Trading Manager components (Message Manager, Partner Manager).
- Proficient in EDI X12 guidelines and SQL/PLSQL stored procedures.
- Comfortable with FTP/FTP(s)/SFTP, Linux operating systems, and related networking.
- Familiar with Java/Eclipse development, GIT/SVN version control, CI/CD tools (TeamCity), and HP ALM test management.
- Strong problem‑solving, documentation, and business communication abilities.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Certifications in IBM Integration Bus, IBM Transformation Extender, or other middleware technologies are preferred.
