Job Description

**Job Title:** Reliability & Operations Engineer **Role Summary:** Monitor and maintain system reliability, automate workflows, debug production issues, and collaborate across teams to ensure high-uptime performance for a fast-growing data-driven sports betting platform. **Expectations:** 1-3 years in technical operations, reliability/SRE, support engineering, or data operations. Requires strong scripting skills, hands-on debugging experience, and familiarity with metrics dashboards. **Key Responsibilities:** - Monitor system metrics, triage anomalies, and resolve issues to maintain uptime and data accuracy. - Manage production workflows (content updates, reporting) for schedule adherence. - Automate manual tasks, improve documentation, and build self-service tools for scalability. - Debug production issues via logs, APIs, and cross-service tracing to root cause. - Collaborate with product, content, and engineering teams on SLA/SLO planning and observability improvements. - Support on-call rotation during peak moments (e.g., major sports events). **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in JavaScript or Python; familiarity with Rust/Java/C/C++ beneficial. - Hands-on debugging: log inspection, API interaction, Linux/CLI troubleshooting. - Experience with Grafana/Datadog/Looker for metrics visualization. - Strong written/verbal communication for fast-paced collaboration. **Required Education & Certifications:** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; no certifications specified.
