Job Description
Job Title: Senior Software Engineer Role Summary: Seasoned engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining low‑latency trading infrastructure. Works across the full software stack—from backend services and streaming pipelines to web interfaces—while driving automation and operational excellence for global trading operations. Expectations: - Deliver high‑quality, production‑ready code that meets stringent performance and reliability targets. - Participate in all phases of the software lifecycle, from architecture and design to deployment and monitoring. - Communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture. Key Responsibilities: - Champion strategic automation projects that scale production operations worldwide. - Develop and extend web (frontend/backend), stream‑processing, and microservice components. - Participate in a developer on‑call rotation to provide rapid incident response. - Collaborate with technical peers on architecture reviews and code quality. - Author clear software specifications and design documentation. - Explore and prototype AI‑assisted automation solutions to enhance trading workflows. Required Skills: - 5–6 + years of software engineering experience. - Strong fundamentals in computer science (data structures, algorithms, concurrency). - Proven proficiency in Golang or Python (highly preferred); solid experience in Java or C++ acceptable. - Comfortable with Linux, shell scripting, and system‑level programming. - Full‑stack web development knowledge (HTML/CSS/JavaScript and server‑side frameworks). - Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL). - Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code concepts and tools. - Excellent written and verbal communication in English; French fluency desirable. - Self‑starter who works autonomously and contributes to a team. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
