Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
Role Summary:
Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes (EKS) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Lead automation of infrastructure provisioning, manage multi‑cluster, multi‑region environments, and support DevSecOps practices within a fast‑paced platform engineering team.
Expectations:
- Deliver reliable, efficient cloud services that meet performance, cost, and security objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement in infrastructure processes and tooling.
- Collaborate closely with developers, security, and operations stakeholders to ensure integration, compliance, and incident readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement scalable, multi‑cluster, multi‑region AWS EKS environments using Terraform.
- Build and maintain an automated self‑service platform for infrastructure and services provisioning.
- Champion IaC principles, automate configuration management, and optimize resource utilization.
- Enforce security best practices across infrastructure, including IAM, encryption, network segmentation, and compliance controls.
- Design, test, and maintain high‑availability and disaster‑recovery strategies.
- Investigate and resolve complex infrastructure incidents; minimize downtime and optimize performance.
- Produce and maintain architecture, operation, and troubleshooting documentation.
- Participate in on‑call rotation for production support.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of professional experience designing, deploying, and operating AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Expertise in AWS core services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail).
- Deep experience with Amazon EKS: configuration, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Advanced proficiency in Terraform for provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management.
- Strong IaC mindset; ability to automate and version control entire infrastructure stack.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts in AWS and Kubernetes (service meshes, load balancers, VPCs).
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.).
- Familiarity with DevSecOps principles, automated scanning, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in agile, dynamic environments and influence improvement initiatives.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, Kubernetes Administrator, Terraform Associate) preferred but not mandatory.
