**Job Title**
Senior Software Engineer
**Role Summary**
Lead delivery of high-impact carrier platform initiatives, including onboarding, payments, mobile app modernization, and marketplace integration. Own both frontend and backend components, collaborate cross‑functionally, mentor teammates, and ensure operational excellence across the full stack.
**Expectations**
- Own end‑to‑end product features from concept through production.
- Deliver on schedule while maintaining quality in a fast‑moving, ambiguous environment.
- Mentor peers, conduct code reviews, and drive best practices.
- Communicate progress, risks, and blockers clearly to engineering, product, and data science stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, implement, and test features in React Native, React, Node.js, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Integrate Kafka streams, AWS services, and ETL pipelines for data synchronization.
- Partner with product, data science, and marketplace teams to define user‑centric solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers through pairing and code reviews.
- Champion test automation, monitoring, and incident response.
- Write maintainable code, documentation, and participate in agile ceremonies.
**Required Skills**
- 5+ years professional software engineering with a record of delivering product value.
- Full‑stack proficiency across mobile (React Native), frontend (React), backend (Node.js, GraphQL), database (PostgreSQL), message bus (Kafka), and cloud (AWS).
- Strong problem‑solving ability in ambiguous, large‑scale contexts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; adept at articulating blockers and collaborating cross‑team.
- Mentoring and code‑review experience.
**Optional / Bonus Skills**
- Experience with marketplace platforms or two‑sided networks.
- Background in fintech, payments, or fraud prevention.
- Knowledge of data integration patterns and ETL workflows.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- No mandatory certifications required.
