Job Description

Job Title: AVP, Data Solutions Engineering Role Summary: Lead the design, build, and deployment of scalable, governed data pipelines to support actuarial, investment, and finance analytics. Collaborate with data platform, governance, science, and business teams. Mentor early‑career engineers. Expectations: Deliver well‑architected data solutions, maintain pipeline reliability and governance, and provide proactive service to business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities - Partner with business teams and data peers to design end‑to‑end data solutions. - Lead development, testing, and production deployment of ETL/ELT pipelines. - Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance across data lakes and warehouses. - Mentor and coach junior and mid‑level data engineers. - Collaborate with data platform engineers, data scientists, and analytics teams. Required Skills - 7+ years in data engineering with 5+ years of Python and SQL programming. - Strong experience with ETL/ELT, APIs, and cloud data operations (AWS preferred). - Proficiency with data integration platforms such as Dataiku or Similar Foundry. - Knowledge of data lake architecture, governance frameworks, and data quality techniques. - Domain expertise in actuarial, investment, or finance within insurance/reinsurance. - Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Certifications in data engineering, cloud platforms, or data governance are a plus.
