Job Description: Job title: Senior Backend Engineer Role Summary: Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of highly scalable, robust APIs for a flagship AI‑powered ordering system. Define technical direction, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate cross‑functionally with product, account management, and peer teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet client needs. Expectations: * Own end‑to‑end delivery of complex features from conception through production. * Drive architectural decisions that support rapid growth and maintain system reliability. * Mentor and coach junior staff, foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. * Maintain high standards in testing, code quality, and release processes. * Engage in agile ceremonies, peer code reviews, and knowledge sharing. Key Responsibilities: * Design, build, and deploy scalable backend services and APIs. * Create architectural roadmaps for next‑generation ordering product. * Collaborate with product, accounts, and cross‑team engineers to integrate solutions. * Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and release workflows. * Optimize performance, reliability, and security of backend systems. * Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team skill development. Required Skills: * 4+ years of software development experience. * Strong proficiency in backend technologies, APIs, and scalable system design. * Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and modern development tools. * Familiarity with Typescript and AI‑powered tooling (desirable). * Excellent communication, teamwork, and mentorship abilities. * Comfortable working in agile development environments. Required Education & Certifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
