Job title: Manager of Machine Learning
Role Summary:
Lead a high‑performing team of senior ML engineers (former Google, Zoom, Uber AI, etc.) to develop, deploy, and scale production‑ready LLM and infrastructure solutions for AI‑augmented healthcare products.
Expactations:
- Drive the end‑to‑end ML product lifecycle from research to production.
- Align engineering delivery with product roadmap and business objectives.
- Foster a culture of rigorous experimentation, continuous learning, and code quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and oversee the deployment of large‑scale LLM fine‑tuning, inference, and serving pipelines.
- Scale ML infrastructure to support real‑time inference, low‑latency, and high‑throughput workloads.
- Collaborate closely with research teams to translate cutting‑edge model developments into production‑ready features.
- Mentor and evaluate senior engineers, establish coding standards and best practices.
- Coordinate with product, data science, and operations stakeholders to define requirements and success metrics.
- Evaluate and integrate new tools, libraries, and cloud services to optimize performance and cost.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory standards in healthcare.
Required Skills:
- Deep expertise in large language model fine‑tuning, inference, and deployment.
- Strong knowledge of scalable ML system design (distributed training, serving, monitoring).
- Proficiency in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and production tooling (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and ML Ops pipelines (MLflow, Airflow, etc.).
- Proven leadership in managing technical teams of senior ML engineers.
- Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related field (PhD preferred).
- Relevant certifications in machine learning, cloud platform, or data engineering are a plus.
