Job Description
**Job Title:** Director of Operations **Role Summary:** Part‑time contractor (15–25 hrs/week) responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling operational infrastructure for a private‑equity firm. Works directly with the Founder & CEO to align acquisitions, investor relations, and executive functions, with equity compensation (1–3%). Position may convert to full‑time Director/COO after defined growth milestones. **Expectations:** - Build and continuously improve firm‑wide systems and workflows. - Ensure seamless coordination across acquisitions, investor relations, and leadership teams. - Deliver accurate project management, reporting, and performance metrics. - Support integration of acquired companies and readiness of portfolio assets. - Establish accountability structures and communication rhythms. - Operate with an entrepreneurial mindset, high ownership, and attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Design, document, and optimize operational processes and SOPs for the entire firm. 2. Implement project‑management tools and dashboards for tracking acquisition pipelines and portfolio performance. 3. Facilitate cross‑division collaboration, ensuring clear hand‑offs between acquisition, finance, and investor‑relations teams. 4. Lead integration planning for new acquisitions, overseeing due‑diligence handover and operational rollout. 5. Create and maintain regular reporting cadence for leadership and investors. 6. Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational efficiency. 7. Coach and mentor internal staff on process adherence and continuous improvement. **Required Skills:** - Operational systems design and scaling (CRM, ERP, PM software). - Strong analytical and financial acumen; experience with EBITDA‑focused businesses. - Project management expertise (Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma preferred). - Excellent cross‑functional communication and stakeholder management. - Entrepreneurial mindset with proven ownership of outcomes. - Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining high productivity. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or related field (required). - MBA or advanced degree preferred but not mandatory. - Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma, CPA) advantageous.
