Job Description
**Job Title** Commercial Development Manager (Business Development Manager) **Role Summary** Lead the growth of the company’s water, sanitation and organic waste‑valorisation business by prospecting, negotiating and managing contracts with public authorities, engineering firms, industrial, agricultural and private clients. Align commercial activities with strategic objectives, ensure contract renewal, and support the launch of new service lines. **Expectations** - Execute targeted sales actions and outreach in line with the company’s strategic plan. - Preserve and expand existing client relationships while securing new business opportunities. - Deliver accurate market intelligence and competitive analysis to the commercial team. - Contribute to the development of future service offerings. **Key Responsibilities** - Identify and approach prospects (municipalities, engineering offices, industrial, agricultural and private sectors). - Promote core services: hydro‑curing, water‑system control, equipment/exploitation projects, and organic waste‑valorisation studies and works. - Prepare and submit technical and commercial responses to tenders in collaboration with the Offers & Commercial team and Business Unit Directors. - Manage client accounts, act as the main point of contact, and ensure high satisfaction levels. - Drive contract renewal and upsell opportunities to maintain revenue continuity. - Conduct market monitoring (opportunities, competition, client needs, potential acquisitions) and report findings in the CRM system. - Support the rollout of new activities aligned with the company’s strategic development. **Required Skills** - Proven sales and negotiation expertise in water, environmental or waste‑valorisation markets. - Strong client‑relationship management and communication abilities. - In‑depth knowledge of organic waste valorisation and agricultural sector dynamics; familiarity with industrial sector a plus. - Ability to analyse tenders, prepare technical/commercial proposals, and manage complex contracts. - Proficiency with CRM and reporting tools. - Fluent in French; English proficiency desirable. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s (Bac+3) to Master’s (Bac+5) degree in Water Resources, Environmental Engineering, Waste Management or a related field. - Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in commercial roles within the water, environment or waste‑valorisation sectors.
