Job Description
**Job Title:** General Manager **Role Summary:** Direct and oversee client-based operations, ensuring service excellence, profitability, and efficient resource utilization. Lead local teams, manage vendor relationships, and implement Lean principles to meet financial and customer service benchmarks. **Expectations:** Maintain and exceed client service targets, cultivate company culture, and ensure operational excellence through strategic leadership, budgeting, and continuous improvement. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver consistently on client service goals and financial objectives. - Lead and develop local operational and people leaders; conduct training, onboarding, and performance reviews. - Manage weekly operator settlements, back‑charge processes, and compliance with contractual terms. - Conduct daily stand‑ups, track performance metrics, and enforce dress code and safety standards. - Implement Lean warehouse principles and optimize processes for cost efficiency. - Maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and service providers; oversee vendor compliance. - Monitor and report operating costs, identify overruns, and recommend corrective actions. - Control budget, manage payroll, scheduling, safety, and labor relations. - Handle asset upkeep and ensure equipment meets operational needs. **Required Skills:** - Strong leadership, coaching, and team‑building abilities. - Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and decision‑making skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. - Data‑driven operational monitoring and reporting. - Knowledge of Lean/manufacturing principles and warehouse operations. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or related field (or equivalent education/experience). - Minimum 5–7 years in warehouse, distribution or supply‑chain operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
