Job Description
Job Title: Senior Systems Software Engineer Role Summary: Design, develop, test, and debug software solutions for new product development and R&D, collaborating with hardware engineers to ensure end‑to‑end integration and manufacturability. Lead prototype programming, data analysis, and design reviews, while maintaining documentation and mentoring junior engineers. Expectations: 8‑12 years R&D experience (medical or related field); proven leadership in cross‑disciplinary teams; ability to produce high‑quality code, detailed test plans, and technical reports; strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skills; excellent written and verbal communication. Key Responsibilities: - Create and program test applications for hardware units in Windows and Linux environments. - Design and execute test matrices, collect and analyze test data, and perform statistical evaluations. - Debug and modify code using advanced debugging tools; resolve complex software issues. - Collaborate with hardware engineers on integration, debugging, and manufacturability assessments. - Lead prototype development projects, manage schedules, and conduct design reviews. - Produce design documentation, change logs, and performance reports. - Present findings to management, QA, and customers; mentor junior engineers. Required Skills: - Programming in C, C++, and C# (Windows/Linux). - Strong debugging, tracing, and code‑analysis capabilities. - Statistical analysis of complex process data. - Project management, scheduling, and cross‑team coordination. - Proficient with Microsoft Office; excellent communication and presentation skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent. - Minimum of 8 years R&D experience in medical or related field. - Valid certifications are not required but a background in software engineering best practices is expected.
