**Job title** Cosmetic R&D Formulation Expert (M/F) **Role Summary** Lead the research, development, reformulation, and quality assurance of clean, vegan skin, body, and hair care products in an agile, integrated laboratory environment. Collaborate closely with manufacturing, packaging, marketing, and executive teams to deliver innovative, compliant, and high‑performance cosmetics that embody the brand’s DNA. **Expactations** - Engineer and refine product formulas to meet regulatory, sensorial, and performance targets. - Maintain rigorous documentation, stability testing, and packaging compatibility. - Provide technical expertise to cross‑functional teams and external partners. - Drive continuous improvement and portfolio maintenance, ensuring up‑to‑date ingredient sourcing and compliance. **Key Responsibilities** - Design and prototype new hygiene and care formulas for face, body, and hair. - Participate in product briefs, propose technical solutions aligned with brand identity, and conduct lab trials, stability studies, and packaging compatibility tests. - Monitor market trends, emerging raw materials, and regulatory changes; integrate findings into product development. - Reformulate existing products to address regulatory updates, customer feedback, or performance enhancements. - Optimize sensory attributes and technical performance of current products. - Maintain product portfolio documentation (regulatory, sourcing, texture, efficacy). - Draft technical formulation dossiers and collaborate with production and quality assurance to ensure final product compliance. - Perform routine laboratory analyses, batch testing, and quality controls. - Support fabrication, packaging, and other laboratory operations as needed. - Engage with marketing and executive teams to track project progress and propose new innovation initiatives. - Represent the laboratory as the subject‑matter expert for innovation reviews, partner inquiries, expert interviews, and technical content creation. **Required Skills** - Strong formulation chemistry and cosmetic science knowledge. - Proficiency in stability testing, compatibility testing, and regulatory compliance. - Experience with clean, vegan, and sustainable cosmetic ingredients. - Excellent analytical, documentation, and problem‑solving abilities. - Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast‑moving, cross‑functional environment. - Effective communication skills for technical writing and stakeholder engagement. - Adaptability to multi‑disciplinary collaboration (manufacturing, packaging, marketing). **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Cosmetic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific discipline. - Professional certification in cosmetic formulation or good manufacturing practices (preferred). - Familiarity with EU cosmetic regulations (EU Cosmetics Regulation, REACH) and relevant hazard assessment frameworks.
