Job Title: Solutions Architect
Role Summary:
Architect and deliver integrated satellite communication solutions aligned with Kepler’s space‑internet offerings. Serve as the technical liaison between sales, customers, and engineering, driving feasibility, risk mitigation, and proposal development for government and commercial missions.
Expectations:
- Champion the Kepler vision by translating user requirements into executable mission architectures.
- Provide expert guidance in early‑phase system engineering, trade studies, and solution road‑mapping.
- Engage customers through presentations, white papers, and technical proposals, influencing business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead customer meetings; provide architectural guidance and tech recommendations.
- Create and deliver presentations, white papers, and feasibility analyses (RF, optical, networking, payload, ground systems).
- Own mission architecture trades: link budgets, interface definitions, spacecraft hardware/software interfaces.
- Conduct modeling and simulation using STK, MATLAB/Python, RF and optical link tools.
- Serve as technical integrator between customer needs and Kepler engineering; align solutions with the product roadmap.
- Define requirements, ConOps, and preliminary architecture baselines.
- Write proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and customer communications, converting ambiguous requests into clear engineering problems.
- Perform competitive analyses and stay current on industry trends.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years in satellite communications, with optical comms experience preferred.
- Proficiency in spacecraft system‑level analysis, requirements development, and ConOps definition.
- Hands‑on expertise in RF, optical, avionics, networking, mission design, or ground segment architecture.
- Strong modeling/simulation skills (STK, MATLAB/Python, RF/optical tools).
- Technical writing experience targeting aerospace customers.
- Familiarity with commercial/government aerospace procurement and proposal processes.
- Excellent oral and written communication; adept at data‑driven trade discussion.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field.
- Master’s degree in a STEM field (bonus).
- Relevant certifications in systems engineering or aerospace (if applicable).
