Job Title: Manager, Venue Technology, FIFA World Cup 2026
Role Summary: The Venue Technology Manager leads the planning, implementation, readiness, and operations of all technology, telecommunications, and broadcast services at assigned USA stadiums for the FIFA World Cup 2026. Collaborates with international technology teams, local stakeholders, government agencies, and venue authorities to ensure delivery of complex event technology solutions in line with FIFA requirements.
Experience Expectations: • Minimum 8 years overall IT experience, with 4 + years in a leadership role overseeing technology services for large events or sports venues. • Proven record of delivering complex IT programs and projects within high‑profile, multi‑stakeholder environments. • Hands‑on knowledge of event‑specific technologies: broadcast contribution networks, audio‑visual, communications, spectrum, printing, community access TV (CATV), and radio systems. • Experience managing diverse teams of paid staff, contractors, and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a cross‑functional team responsible for operating technology services at US venues.
- Coordinate with global venue technology teams (Mexico, Canada, Zurich) and local stakeholders to align on deliverables and governance.
- Serve as the primary liaison for technology requirements from media, broadcast, commercial, and football technology innovation groups.
- Ensure installation, testing, and operational readiness of all IT, telecommunications, and broadcast systems per FIFA technology specifications.
- Develop, track, and report progress, risks, and issues using established governance and PMO frameworks.
- Manage asset tracking and lifecycle of deployed equipment.
- Communicate infrastructure, service, and space requirements to venue/site authorities and delivery partners.
- Support timely delivery of technology services through collaboration with stadium partners, private and governmental entities.
Required Skills:
- Strong program management and project delivery experience in large event or sports technology contexts.
- Knowledge of event technology standards and FCC spectrum, broadcast contribution, audio‑visual, wired and wireless communications, and print systems.
- Leadership and team‑building skills for managing paid staff, contractors, and volunteers.
- Effective stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) and planning/online collaboration tools.
- Fluent in English; Spanish language proficiency a plus.
Required Education & Certifications:
- University degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Professional certifications in project management (PMP/PRINCE2) or IT service management (ITIL) are desirable but not mandatory.
