Job Description

**Job Title** Senior Scientist – Discovery Biology (Skeletal & Inflammatory Joint Disorders) **Role Summary** Lead laboratory research to discover novel therapeutic entities for skeletal and inflammatory joint conditions. Design, execute, and analyze complex cell‑based assays and computational biology studies to elucidate disease mechanisms and validate targets. **Expectations** - Design independent experiments, interpret data, and drive project progression within multidisciplinary teams. - Maintain meticulous records in electronic lab notebooks. - Deliver actionable insights to inform drug discovery decisions. **Key Responsibilities** - Design and perform in‑vitro translational assays measuring phenotypic disease outcomes. - Develop and optimize primary human cell models (osteoblasts, chondrocytes, fibroblast‑like synoviocytes). - Investigate mechanisms of action and signaling pathways using molecular and computational tools. - Apply computational biology to transcriptomics, cytometry, and proteomics datasets. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to advance therapeutic programs. - Maintain accurate experimental records in electronic lab notebooks. **Required Skills** - PhD or equivalent in Cell Biology, Immunology, or related field (skeletal/inflammatory biology preferred). - Hands‑on experience with primary human cell isolation and culture. - Expertise in cell‑based assays (96/384‑well formats) and flow cytometry. - Proficiency in computational biology (bulk/single‑cell RNA‑seq, cytometry, proteomics data analysis). - Independent experimental design, execution, and analysis. - Strong communication and teamwork abilities. **Required Education & Certifications** - PhD (or equivalent) in Cell Biology, Immunology, or related discipline. - (No specific certifications required.)
