Job Title: DevOps Manager, Cloud Automation & Reliability
Role Summary:
Lead a global team of Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) to design, build, and operate mission‑critical cloud services. Provide technical guidance, hands‑on problem solving, and mentorship while driving reliability, scalability, and automation of the SaaS platform. Collaborate across engineering, product, and operations to continuously improve infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and service level objectives.
Expectations:
- Minimum 10 years in software/DevOps roles, with at least 3 years in technical leadership.
- 5+ years managing customer‑facing SaaS services at scale.
- 5+ years overseeing AWS or comparable cloud infrastructure globally.
- Strong background in Python, Ruby, or similar languages.
- Proven experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef).
- Deep knowledge of DevOps practices, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of SREs, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Participate in technical problem solving, design reviews, and architecture discussions to enhance system reliability.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost‑efficient cloud solutions; troubleshoot production incidents and reduce operational toil.
- Own improvements to CI/CD, configuration management, and cloud‑native infrastructure reliability.
- Define, monitor, and report team‑level SLOs for automation, deployments, and service uptime.
- Balance competing project priorities, ensuring timely delivery of technical initiatives.
- Promote best practices, engineering standards, and automation across the organization.
Required Skills:
- Leadership & team management (SRE focus).
- Cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent) at global scale.
- Programming: Python, Ruby, or comparable language.
- Infrastructure‑as‑code: Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or similar.
- DevOps & Agile expertise; strong CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
- Configuration management, monitoring, and observability tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross‑team collaboration.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or similar (preferred).
