Job Description
**Job Title** Data Science Intern – Regions (M2) **Role Summary** Internship in a consulting environment focused on delivering data‑driven solutions to diverse business sectors (luxury, retail, finance, industry). Work on end‑to‑end projects: client requirement scoping, data exploration, advanced analytics, machine learning modeling, and actionable insights publication. **Expectations** - Apply academic knowledge to real‑world problems. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and senior consultants to craft client‑centric methodologies. - Produce high‑quality deliverables (reports, dashboards, models) that influence business decisions. - Continuously learn new technologies and present findings clearly to stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities** - Define and refine client business problems, translating them into analytical requirements. - Collect, clean, and explore structured data using SQL and Python. - Build and validate machine‑learning models (classification, clustering, regression, interpretability). - Interpret model outputs and deliver concise, actionable recommendations. - Develop visualizations and dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent). - Support internal R&D initiatives, experimenting with state‑of‑the‑art tools (Gen AI, optimisation algorithms). - Maintain documentation and best practices for reproducibility. - Communicate findings to technical and non‑technical audiences with clarity and impact. **Required Skills** - Proficient in SQL for data extraction and manipulation. - Strong Python programming (pandas, numpy, scikit‑learn, etc.). - Solid grasp of core machine‑learning algorithms and model evaluation. - Ability to explain complex technical concepts simply and pedagogically. - Experience with data‑analysis and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, SAS, Alteryx, Dataiku) is a plus. - Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is desirable. - Excellent analytical, synthesis, and presentation skills. - Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset. - Curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning. **Required Education & Certifications** - Current final‑year (M2) student in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field at a university or grande école. - Proven academic or project experience in data analytics and machine‑learning. - No mandatory certifications required, but familiarity with industry tools strengthens the application.
