Job title: Project Manager – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Role Summary:
Lead and deliver infrastructure network projects, including contract mobilisation, transition, and internal change initiatives. Manage project lifecycle from inception to completion, ensuring timely milestones, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement. Mentor a Project Coordinator and collaborate cross-functionally with client teams, suppliers, operational delivery, SHEQ, HR, and logistics.
Expectations:
- Successfully transition or mobilise new contracts and services between suppliers.
- Maintain project schedule, budget, and quality against agreed governance standards.
- Demonstrate strong risk, issue, and opportunity management throughout the project life cycle.
- Foster a collaborative environment that supports teamwork and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, initiate, and close projects, producing detailed scope, timelines, and resource plans.
- Coordinate with client teams, incumbent suppliers, and internal stakeholders to align objectives.
- Monitor progress, prepare status reports, and present updates at governance forums.
- Identify and resolve project risks, issues, and change requests.
- Lead contract mobilisation activities including procurement, onboarding, and transition handover.
- Support and develop the Project Coordinator, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill growth.
- Apply project management methodologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness across business functions.
Required Skills:
- Proven project management experience (minimum 3–5 years) in telecom or related infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile where applicable).
- Experience with contract mobilisation, transition projects, or reactive/ planned maintenance.
- Ability to manage risks, issues, and opportunities with clear escalation paths.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills.
- Team leadership, mentoring, and collaborative mindset.
- Proficient in project tools (Microsoft Project, Jira, SharePoint) and office suite.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field.
- Project Management certification (PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, or equivalent) preferred.
