Job title: DevOps Engineer
Role Summary:
Leverage experience in on-premises and hybrid infrastructure to build, automate, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, monitor system health, and optimize deployment processes across development, test, and production environments.
Expectations:
- Deliver reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions for on-prem and hybrid deployments.
- Enable rapid, automated code releases while ensuring infrastructure resilience.
- Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain high availability of services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for on‑prem and hybrid applications using Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Manage on‑prem infrastructure (physical and virtual servers, VMware, Hyper‑V).
- Automate provisioning and configuration with Ansible, Terraform, or PowerShell.
- Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability across all environments.
- Collaborate with development teams on code deployment, version control, and release management.
- Monitor system health; configure alerts and dashboards (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Manage container orchestrators (Docker, Kubernetes) on‑prem or hybrid.
- Conduct security hardening, patching, and compliance checks.
- Assist with cloud integration (AWS, Azure, GCP) as the organization transitions to hybrid models.
- Troubleshoot issues and participate in on‑call rotation as required.
Required Skills:
- ≥5 years as a DevOps Engineer, Systems Engineer, or equivalent automation role.
- Proficient in managing on‑prem environments (VMware, bare‑metal, Windows/Linux).
- Expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Strong scripting abilities (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, DNS, load balancing, and security best practices.
- Experience with monitoring/logging (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Certifications such as AWS/Azure DevOps, RHCE, Terraform Associate, or equivalent are a plus.
