Job title: Electrical Engineer - Traveling Trainer
Role Summary:
Provide high‑volume field support for Sungrow’s COE and Training Center. Works on‑site with senior engineers to troubleshoot, commission, and diagnose BESS, PV, HVAC, and LCU equipment. Serves as a technical bridge to training and R&D, collecting data to improve training content and product performance. Potential career path into core technical or training roles.
Expactations:
- Deliver technical support across extensive travel (75‑100% domestic, primarily Texas region).
- Gradual transition from field troubleshooting to permanent COE/Training Center positions based on performance.
- Demonstrate rapid learning of components, systems, and equipment.
- Consistently meet reporting, documentation, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel with COE engineers to conduct on‑site commissioning and troubleshooting of energy storage, solar PV, HVAC, and LCU systems.
- Diagnose system failures, perform corrective actions, and verify resolution.
- Act as liaison between field teams and Training Center, capturing technical insights.
- Collect, document, and report site incidents and technical data to support training material development and R&D collaboration.
- Assist in designing and updating internal training content based on field experience.
- Participate in internal training sessions and support delivery as required.
- Collaborate with Service Managers and technical teams to ensure stable project operations and knowledge transfer.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability in power/solar, battery, or power electronics domains.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English; Mandarin proficiency preferred.
- Self‑starter with initiative, organization, and detail orientation.
- Proficient with diagnostic tools, SCADA, and system-level troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic, field‑based environment.
- Willingness to travel full‑time during initial assignment.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Power Electronics Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in solar, battery, or power electronics industry.
- No specific certifications required, but related technical certifications (e.g., PES, IEC) are advantageous.
