**Job Title:** Director, Physical Security
**Role Summary:**
Leads the development, implementation, and management of a global physical security program for all office locations, ensuring protection of personnel, facilities, and assets while maintaining compliance with Canadian and international regulations.
**Expectations:**
- Minimum 10 + years in physical security management, with ≥5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven experience securing multiple sites across Canada and/or internationally.
- Canadian citizenship (mandatory); ability to travel domestically and abroad.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian security standards and applicable global regulations.
- Bilingual ability (French, Spanish, or other) considered an asset.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and execute a comprehensive physical security governance framework (policies, standards, procedures).
- Define enterprise standards for access control, CCTV, perimeter protection, alarms, and monitoring systems.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and vulnerability analyses; present findings to senior leadership.
- Oversee day‑to‑day security operations: access management, surveillance, emergency response, incident handling.
- Manage relationships with security vendors, law‑enforcement, and government agencies.
- Lead investigations of theft, vandalism, workplace violence, and breaches.
- Develop crisis management and business continuity plans for physical security incidents.
- Coordinate with Information Security, Facilities, and other internal stakeholders to align security initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with local, provincial/state, federal, and international security regulations and industry standards (ASIS, ISO, CPTED).
**Required Skills:**
- Strategic planning and program development for physical security.
- Expertise in access control, video surveillance, perimeter security, and alarm systems.
- Strong risk assessment, audit, and reporting capabilities.

- Excellent oral and written communication; presentation to executive audiences.
- Problem‑solving and decision‑making under pressure.
- Vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Ability to travel as required.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification preferred.
- Security Clearance (Canadian Government Secret or higher) preferred.
- Military or law‑enforcement background considered an asset.
