Job Description
**Job Title** BI & Data Analyst – Power BI **Role Summary** Design, build and maintain enterprise‑wide Power BI reports and dashboards that translate business data into actionable insights. Collaborate with stakeholders to specify KPI requirements, develop data models, ensure data integrity, troubleshoot issues, and document solutions. **Expectations** - Deliver high‑quality, user‑friendly Power BI solutions on schedule. - Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date KPI dashboards and reports across all directorates. - Engage proactively with business users to refine reporting needs and provide analytical guidance. **Key Responsibilities** - Gather and analyse user requirements for Power BI reporting. - Design, develop and publish Power BI datasets, models and visuals. - Integrate data from multiple sources (Oracle, SQL Server, APIs, etc.) into cohesive models. - Write and optimise SQL scripts for data extraction and transformation. - Monitor and validate KPI data for accuracy and consistency. - Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues, applying performance tuning as needed. - Document data sources, model logic, and user guidance. - Support system upgrades, version control, and report migration. - Provide training and support to end users on Power BI functionality. **Required Skills** - Proven experience in commercial Business Intelligence and data analysis. - Advanced proficiency in Power BI (desktop, service, dataflow). - Strong SQL scripting and relational database knowledge (Oracle, SQL Server). - Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas). - Ability to model complex data relationships and design scalable solutions. - Excellent stakeholder communication, presentation and customer‑facing skills. - Detail‑oriented, analytical, and problem‑solving mindset. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence or related field. - Power BI certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) preferred. - Additional certifications in SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, or data warehousing are a plus.
