Job Description

**Job Title:** Senior Mechanical Estimator **Role Summary** Lead mechanical cost estimation for complex engineering projects across diverse industries, ensuring accurate and timely tender submissions. **Expectations** Deliver precise mechanical cost estimates, meet tender deadlines, optimize value engineering opportunities, and maintain database accuracy. **Key Responsibilities** - Analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications to prepare quantity take-offs and costed bills of quantities. - Source, evaluate, and manage supplier/sub-contractor quotations. - Prepare tender reports, pricing schedules, and documentation for pharmaceutical, food, semiconductor, and commercial projects. - Issue tender queries, resolve RFIs, and collaborate with clients, consultants, and project teams. - Manage estimation databases and support value engineering initiatives. - Ensure compliance with deadlines and coordinate site visits or meetings as required. **Required Skills** - Proficiency in mechanical cost estimating software. - Expertise in mechanical systems (pipework, HVAC, plumbing). - Advanced MS Office skills; ability to interpret technical drawings/specifications. - Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving capabilities. - Excellent communication, organizational, and time management. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Process, or Building Services Engineering. - 10+ years of mechanical cost estimating experience in a contracting environment, including tender delivery from inquiry to award.
