**Job Title**
IT Systems Administrator
**Role Summary**
Maintain, optimize, and secure the cloud‑based infrastructure that powers PracticeTek’s SaaS platform for healthcare practices. Ensure high availability, performance, and compliance with regulatory standards (HIPAA, PCI) while automating processes, managing Microsoft 365/Teams/Azure AD environments, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
**Expectations**
Deliver reliable, cost‑efficient operations with proactive monitoring, incident response, and continuous automation. Demonstrate strong analytical problem‑solving, communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, and a focus on regulatory compliance and security best practices.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) for uptime, performance, and cost optimization.
- Implement observability, monitoring, and alerting solutions; investigate and resolve incidents.
- Oversee Microsoft 365, Teams, and Azure AD environments: provisioning, access control, and security.
- Automate routine workflows and administrative tasks to improve efficiency.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for integration, support, and performance.
- Maintain system backups, disaster recovery plans, and incident response readiness.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PCI, and internal security policies.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Security teams on new deployments and initiatives.
**Required Skills**
- Experience administering cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Teams, Azure AD, and identity management.
- Strong scripting/automation abilities (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Knowledge of monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).
- Familiarity with security best practices, IAM, network security, and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, PCI).
- Disaster recovery and backup strategy implementation.
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Security+, or similar.
