Job title: Quality Assurance Analyst – Entry Level
Role Summary: Entry‑level QA Analyst responsible for testing web applications within a large, data‑driven healthcare platform. Works closely with engineering, product, and design teams to define acceptance criteria, create and execute test plans, and support continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
Expectations:
- 0–2 years of hands‑on web application testing experience.
- Knowledge of healthcare domain (FHIR, patient data, EMR integrations).
- Ability to translate business requirements into detailed test cases and acceptance criteria.
- Provide realistic QA effort estimates and report progress against project plans.
- Communicate test results and defect insights to technical and non‑technical stakeholders in clear, concise language.
Key Responsibilities:
- Refine user stories and acceptance criteria in collaboration with product and engineering.
- Design, develop, and execute test cases using manual and automated tools.
- Perform regression, integration, and exploratory testing across the application stack.
- Identify, document, and track defects; conduct root‑cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Support release activities, including build verification, regression testing, and release readiness checks.
- Engage in continuous improvement of testing processes and quality metrics.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on new feature development and third‑party integration testing.
Required Skills:
- Web application testing fundamentals (functional, regression, performance).
- Test case creation, test execution, defect logging, and traceability.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks/tools: Selenium, Playwright, Postman, RSpec, Capybara, Jest, React Testing Library, GraphQL, Apollo, CircleCI (preferred but not mandatory).
- Basic understanding of Ruby on Rails, React, PostgreSQL, and API testing.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Certifications such as ISTQB Certified Tester or equivalent are a plus but not mandatory.
