Job Description

**Job Title** Director, Information Technology Security **Role Summary** Lead the organization’s cybersecurity strategy, policies, and operations to achieve and maintain PCI, SOC‑1, and other financial services security standards. Manage risk assessments, incident response, and security tooling across the enterprise network and systems. **Expectations** - Drive continuous improvement of the security posture and controls. - Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal security objectives. - Serve as a security consultant for IT and business teams, promoting security awareness. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop, document, and enforce information‑security policies and procedures. - Conduct risk assessments, coordinate incident response, and validate security controls. - Configure and maintain security solutions: IDS/IPS, firewalls, DLP, encryption, SIEM, vulnerability management, threat hunting, application whitelisting, and secure file transfer. - Respond to and resolve security tickets; collaborate with cross‑functional teams. - Monitor SIEM alerts and analyze security events. - Oversee external and internal penetration tests, patch management, backup, and recovery activities. - Assess and mitigate technological risks for the IT department. - Maintain knowledge of cloud, virtualization, Windows, Linux, networking, and backup technologies. **Required Skills** - 10+ years in enterprise or service‑provider IT; 6+ years in security infrastructure, design, and operations. - Hands‑on incident response and incident management. - Expertise in firewalls, IDP/IPS, anti‑virus, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and related security platforms. - Strong patch and vulnerability management proficiency. - Proficiency with Windows, Linux, virtualization, cloud technologies, networking protocols, and backup solutions. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, ISSEP, or similar.
