**Job Title:** AIX Systems Engineer / SAP Administration Specialist **Role Summary:** Design, deploy, and manage AIX-based infrastructure and SAP environments. Ensure high availability, performance, and security across POWER servers, NetApp storage, and Oracle databases, while spearheading migration, automation, and disaster recovery projects. **Expectations:** - Deliver robust, secure, and scalable AIX and SAP solutions. - Lead migration initiatives (e.g., POWER6→POWER9, AIX6.1→7.2, NIS→LDAP). - Automate deployments and configuration with scripting and orchestration tools. - Resolve complex level‑2/3 incidents and optimize system performance. - Collaborate cross‑functionally on infrastructure, virtualization, and disaster recovery plans. **Key Responsibilities:** - Install, configure, patch, and maintain AIX 5.3–7.2 servers, including NIM automation. - Manage NetApp V7000 and SAN storage (PRA, DataGuard, Global Mirror). - Implement high‑availability solutions (HACMP, PowerHA). - Design and execute infrastructure migration and modernization projects. - Administer SAP landscapes (CRM, IS‑U, BI) on Oracle 10g/11g/19c; oversee installation, control‑M scheduling, RMAN backups, and SOLMAN operations. - Perform virtualization with VIO, PowerVC, PowerSC; integrate Tivoli (TCM) for process automation. - Troubleshoot and root cause level‑2/3 incidents for AIX, SAP, Oracle. - Script in Bash/Ksh; develop automation via DNF, Control‑M, and PowerShell equivalents. **Required Skills:** - AIX OS (5.3, 6.1, 7.2) administration on POWER hardware. - SAP application administration (IS‑U, CRM, BI). - Oracle database management (10g/11g/19c) – RMAN, RAC, GPFS. - NetApp and V7000 storage, DataGuard, Global Mirror. - High‑availability (HACMP, PowerHA) and disaster recovery planning. - Virtualization technologies (VIO, PowerVC, PowerSC). - Shell scripting (Bash, Ksh) and automation tools (Control‑M, DNF). - Experience with LDAP/NIS migration, network & Fibre‑Channel patching. - Project management of infrastructure migrations. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent. - Minimum 5 years in AIX/POWER infrastructure and SAP administration. - Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., IBM AIX, SAP Certified Application Associate, Oracle Database Administration).
