Job Description: Job title: Automation Engineer Role Summary: Design, develop, test, and maintain industrial automation solutions for life science production sites, integrating hardware and software across IT/OT environments. Ensure secure deployment of automation systems and provide technical support and documentation. Expectations: Deliver reliable automation code within production schedules, adhere to group IT security policies, troubleshoot technical issues, and document solutions in accordance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities: - Write, modify, and deploy automation code to meet production requirements. - Install, upgrade, and integrate new hardware components or replace existing equipment. - Implement group IT security strategy on site systems and equipment. - Diagnose and resolve technical problems, proposing effective solutions. - Create, review, and maintain technical documentation for IT/OT systems (BMS, FMS, HVAC, etc.) including functional and design specifications. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure system integration and compliance. Required Skills: - Proficiency in industrial programming (PLC, SCADA). - Experience with Siemens Desigo Px, Rockwell Automation, FMS Oceasoft, and iFix platforms. - Knowledge of IT/OT integration, Building Management Systems (BMS), Factory Management Systems (FMS), and HVAC control. - Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities. - Ability to document and review technical specifications clearly. - Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for industrial systems. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s (BAC+5) or equivalent degree in Industrial Computing, Electronics, or related field. - Minimum 3 years of professional experience in automation engineering. - Certifications in relevant automation technologies (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) are an advantage but not mandatory.
