**Job Title:** Platform Engineer – AWS
**Role Summary:**
Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure AWS Cloud infrastructure for SaaS products, using IaC and DevOps practices. Oversee CI/CD pipelines, multi‑account governance, cost management, and incident response to ensure high availability and compliance.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver robust, automated infrastructure that supports continuous delivery.
- Maintain cost efficiency, security posture, and operational reliability across all environments.
- Collaborate closely with development, QA, and product teams to align platform services with software lifecycles.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage and evolve AWS environments (prod, dev, test) across multiple accounts.
- Create and maintain IaC using Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Build, optimize, and secure CI/CD pipelines (CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
- Enforce DevOps and security best practices; ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards.
- Monitor performance, availability, and security; proactively resolve incidents and conduct root‑cause analysis.
- Automate provisioning and configuration to reduce manual tasks.
- Govern accounts: implement cost‑control, billing, IAM, and security policies.
- Provide stable, scalable environments for development and testing teams.
- Continuous evaluation and adoption of new AWS services and DevOps tools.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and metrics dashboards.
**Required Skills:**
- Hands‑on experience managing AWS in multiple environments.
- Proficient with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- CI/CD tooling (CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with core AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch.
- Multi‑account governance, billing, and security.
- Strong DevOps mindset and cloud‑first deployment philosophy.
- Cloud security best practices.
- Monitoring, logging, and alerting (e.g., CloudWatch, CloudTrail, third‑party tools).
- Scripting/automation in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Incident response and root‑cause analysis experience.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate) preferred.
