Job Description
Job Title: Project Quality Engineer Role Summary: Ensure adherence to quality management systems and processes on a construction project. Act as a deputy for the Quality Manager, leading audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives to meet client and regulatory requirements. Expactations: - Deliver consistent quality documentation and KPI reporting. - Act as a liaison between project teams, external auditors, and quality management. - Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and client‑specific quality standards. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct regular process assessments to identify improvement opportunities. - Maintain up‑to‑date documentation and records within the company system. - Coordinate internal and external audits, including preparing audit schedules and supporting documentation. - Analyse statistical quality data to propose preventive actions and improvements. - Develop, maintain, and audit sampling procedures and quality data reporting guidelines. - Perform site inspections and witness inspections, documenting findings. - Review contracts to identify and address quality requirements. - Prepare and control project quality management documentation before project start‑up, adjusting plans to match client expectations. - Report quality KPIs to project management and participate in progress meetings. - Deliver quality training to project staff as needed. - Sign off on project quality documents and monitor non‑conformance dispositions. - Evaluate supplier quality plans against contractual obligations. Required Skills: - Minimum 5 years in engineering and construction quality roles. - Knowledge of ISO 9001, and experience with quality audits and certifications. - Proficiency in quality data analysis tools and statistical methods. - Strong organizational and communication skills; fluent in English and native-level French. - Ability to work independently and collaborate across cross‑functional teams. - Driving licence (category B) and valid work permit for the jurisdiction. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. - Preferred certifications: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or equivalent Quality Engineering qualification.
