Job Description: Job Title: Senior Backend Engineer Role Summary: Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend services using Python, Django, and GCP, with a focus on secure APIs, cloud‑native microservices, and AI integration. Expectations: Deliver robust, scalable components that meet security and performance standards; collaborate across product, frontend, and DevOps teams; continuously improve deployment pipelines and infrastructure; stay current with AI/ML advancements relevant to backend operations. Key Responsibilities - Architect and implement backend services with Python 3.x, Django 5.x, and Django REST Framework. - Design and optimize PostgreSQL AlloyDB schemas and queries. - Implement SAML‑based authentication and fine‑grained authorization. - Build, containerize, and deploy microservices to GCP Cloud Run. - Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Bitbucket & Jenkins, including IaC. - Integrate LLM services (Google Gemini, OpenAI) for automation and data enrichment. - Collaborate with frontend, dev‑ops, and product stakeholders to deliver features on schedule. Required Skills - 5+ years backend development experience. - Deep proficiency in Python, Django, and Django REST Framework. - PostgreSQL/AlloyDB performance tuning and schema design. - SAML authentication implementation. - GCP Cloud Run deployment & GCP service integration. - Bitbucket, Jenkins, Docker, and IaC experience. - Exposure to LLMs (Gemini, OpenAI) in production or experimental contexts. - Agile methodology familiarity. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Relevant certifications (e.g., GCP Certified Professional Cloud Architect, Django certification) are a plus.
