Job Description

Job title: Associate Product Manager Role Summary: Associate Product Manager transitioning from engineering to product management, responsible for owning end‑to‑end product initiatives that solve real customer problems in the transportation industry, with a strong focus on AI‑native capabilities and cross‑functional collaboration. Expectations: - Own product initiatives from discovery through delivery and impact measurement. - Translate business needs into technical requirements and collaborate closely with engineering, design, sales, and customer success teams. - Engage directly with customers to surface pain points, conduct interviews, and validate solutions. - Develop core product management competencies (user research, roadmap planning, stakeholder communication). - Contribute code and technical solutions where appropriate to accelerate delivery. - Advocate for AI enhancements and integrate AI tools into product development. Key Responsibilities: - Lead end‑to‑end product lifecycle for platform, customer‑facing features, and cross‑organizational collaboration tools. - Conduct user research, create personas, and gather requirements from customers and internal stakeholders. - Produce product requirement documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria. - Prioritize backlog items and maintain product roadmap in alignment with business goals. - Coordinate with engineering on sprint planning, review, and release. - Work with design to define UX flows and deliver high‑quality user experiences. - Collaborate with sales and customer success to ensure successful adoption and provide post‑launch support. - Analyze product metrics, gather feedback, and iterate on solutions. - Explore and prototype AI features that add value to the platform. Required Skills: - Engineering or development background (software, web, or application development). - Strong technical foundation with ability to read/write code (experience with TypeScript or modern web frameworks preferred). - Customer‑obsessed mindset and strong communication skills for translating technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders. - Action‑oriented, self‑motivated, and comfortable moving fast with iterative delivery. - Collaborative and able to build relationships across engineering, design, sales, and support. - Curious, proactive learner with an interest in AI tools and product strategy. - Familiarity with agile development methodologies. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - Relevant internship, co‑op, or professional experience in software development or product roles is a plus.
