**Job Title** Business Development Manager **Role Summary** Drive business growth by identifying, qualifying, and securing Facilities Management (FM) contracts with commercial and industrial clients. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities, engage key decision‑makers, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored FM solutions that meet client needs. **Expectations** - Generate and nurture leads independently across the North of England and Scotland. - Convert prospects into signed contracts, achieving agreed sales targets. - Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach to contract award. - Maintain high client satisfaction and long‑term relationships. **Key Responsibilities** - Prospect and target commercial/industrial businesses in designated sectors. - Conduct needs assessments and present consultative FM proposals. - Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities. - Negotiate contracts and close deals in line with company policies. - Coordinate with operations to ensure deliverability of service promises. - Travel within and beyond the assigned region to meet clients. - Provide accurate sales forecasts and updates to management. **Required Skills** - Proven B2B sales experience, ideally in service or facilities management. - Strong lead‑generation, prospecting, and pipeline management abilities. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. - Self‑motivated, autonomous work style with minimal supervision. - Ability to travel regularly across a wide geographic area. - Proficient with CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite. **Required Education & Certifications** - Minimum secondary education (e.g., GCSE/AS levels) or equivalent; higher qualifications in sales, business development, or related field are advantageous but not mandatory. - Full UK driving licence (minimum 6 months experience, <= 9 points). - Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
