Job Description
Job title: Materials Team Leader (H/F) Role Summary: Lead the daily operations of the materials handling team at a waste treatment site, ensuring safety, environmental compliance, and productive workflow. Manage team scheduling, reporting, and first‑line maintenance while fostering continuous improvement and training. Expactations: - Champion safety and environmental standards across all site activities. - Deliver accurate daily operational reports and maintain quality metrics. - Show strong organizational skills, adaptability and decisive leadership. Key Responsibilities: - Enforce safety protocols: conduct 5‑minute safety briefings, 15‑minute discussions, and monitor safe handling of equipment. - Provide safety orientation and mentorship for new team members. - Ensure adherence to site environmental regulations and monitor equipment loading to prevent pollution. - Respond promptly to emergencies (accidental pollution, fires, floods). - Plan and optimize team shift schedules and workflows. - Produce daily reports covering personnel, equipment, and output. - Maintain first‑level maintenance of workstations and tools. - Contribute to onboarding and training of new staff. Required Skills: - Proficient in operating and maintaining heavy machinery, mechanical equipment, and welding/boiler work. - Clear communication and team‑leading abilities. - Strong organizational capacity, ability to handle unexpected issues and prioritize tasks. - Knowledge of safety and environmental legislation applicable to waste treatment facilities. - Experience with production scheduling and quality control. Required Education & Certifications: - CAP or Bac Pro in an industrial discipline (or equivalent experience). - Demonstrated knowledge of machinery, mechanics, and welding. - Familiarity with first‑line maintenance procedures and safety compliance.
