Job Title: Sr Cloud DevOps Engineer
Role Summary:
Design, build, and operate scalable, reliable AWS‑based infrastructure for production systems. Own end‑to‑end cloud operations, improve observability, and streamline CI/CD pipelines while ensuring minimal downtime and alignment with security and quality standards.
Expectations:
- 10+ years in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, SRE, or Systems Engineering.
- Deep, hands‑on expertise with AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, Lambda, S3, RDS, ECS, CloudWatch, CodeBuild/CodePipeline).
- Proficiency in scripting with Python and shell.
- Proven design and operation of production CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex production incidents and lead on‑call duties.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong sense of ownership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and evolve AWS‑based infrastructure supporting production workloads at scale.
- Design and maintain infrastructure using CloudFormation and IaC best practices.
- Enhance reliability, availability, and observability across all environments.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines with AWS native tools (CodeBuild, CodePipeline).
- Support, optimize, and monitor serverless (Lambda) and containerized workloads (ECS/Fargate).
- Lead infrastructure upgrades with zero or minimal downtime, including rollback procedures.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, security, and platform teams.
- Participate in a shared on‑call rotation and incident response processes.
- Document systems, processes, and best practices to scale knowledge.
- Contribute to quality management and compliance activities.
Required Skills:
- AWS core services: EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, ECS/Fargate, Lambda, CloudWatch.
- IaC: CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK, or equivalent.
- CI/CD tooling: AWS CodeBuild, CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
- Scripting: Python, Bash/PowerShell.
- Cloud security concepts and implementation.
- Monitoring & logging: CloudWatch, X-Ray, ELK stack, or similar.
- Incident management and on‑call experience.
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication abilities.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Prefer AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional).
