Job Description
**Job title** Venture Capital Analyst – Internship (M/F) **Role Summary** Internship in the Innovation and Venture Capital team located in Champagne Au Mont d'Or. The analyst supports the investment lifecycle by screening and evaluating new opportunities, conducting due diligence, monitoring portfolio companies, and contributing to financial and operational oversight of innovation projects. **Expectations** - 6‑month internship starting March 2026. - Work under the direct supervision of the Innovation Manager. - Collaborate with the investment team, back‑office, and middle‑office functions. - Participate in ecosystem events and contribute to internal analyses (ESG, financial tracking). **Key Responsibilities** - Manage deal flow: screen, analyze, and present new investment opportunities weekly. - Attend entrepreneur meetings and perform comprehensive assessments of technology, product, market, business plan, and team. - Support investment processes: due diligence, legal and financial negotiations. - Monitor portfolio companies: industry and sector analysis, relationship management with founders. - Attend digital ecosystem events (demo days, pitch sessions). - Assist back‑ and middle‑office tasks: ESG analysis, committee support, financial reporting, and control‑management improvement. - Conduct financial performance reviews of innovation projects, identify variances, recommend corrective actions. - Optimize financial tracking tools and control‑management processes. **Required Skills** - Strong analytical and methodological mindset. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; excellent written communication and synthesis. - Good interpersonal skills, curiosity, empathy, and critical thinking. - Comfortable with finance, entrepreneurship, and innovation. - Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team. **Required Education & Certifications** - Master’s degree (M1/M2) from a university, business school, or engineering school. - Prior experience or coursework in finance, audit, or entrepreneurial environments (e.g., incubator, startup) is preferred. - No mandatory certifications required, but knowledge of venture capital and startup ecosystems is advantageous.
