Job Description
**Job Title** 2026 Future Talent Program – Image Data Analytics Intern **Role Summary** A 10‑12 week full‑time internship focused on developing quantitative image‑analysis workflows to identify biomarkers in multidimensional biological datasets for drug development. The role blends machine‑learning and image‑processing algorithms with biomedical research to generate actionable insights from imaging and multimodal data. **Expectations** - Full‑time commitment for 10–12 weeks during the summer of 2026. - Immediate return to academic studies in the fall after internship completion. - Timely delivery of research outputs, code, and reports within agreed milestones. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, implement, and evaluate machine‑learning and deep‑learning models for biomedical image analysis. - Preprocess, segment, and extract quantitative features from histology, CT, MR, and microscopy images. - Integrate multimodal datasets (imaging + omics) to uncover potential biomarkers. - Develop reproducible pipelines using high‑performance computing, GPU, and cloud resources. - Produce technical documentation, method reports, and presentations for cross‑functional teams. - Collaborate with data scientists, clinicians, and bioinformaticians to refine analytic strategies. **Required Skills** - Advanced knowledge of machine‑learning, deep‑learning, pattern recognition, data mining, image processing, computer vision, signal processing, bioinformatics, and statistics. - Demonstrated research experience in biomedical image processing (e.g., histology, CT, MR, microscopy). - Experience analyzing multimodal biomedical datasets. - Proficiency in Python (preferably with PyTorch/TensorFlow/Keras) and at least one of Matlab, R, C++, or Java. - Understanding of deep‑learning frameworks and libraries such as CLAM and MONAI. - Familiarity with high‑performance computing, GPU acceleration, and cloud computing environments. - Ability to plan, schedule, and execute tasks to meet project milestones. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - Current pursuit of a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics (or closely related field).
