Job Title: Application Developer
Role Summary:
Responsible for designing, packaging, testing, deploying, and supporting enterprise desktop applications in a hybrid environment. Utilizes SCCM, Active Directory, Group Policy, and scripting to deliver high‑volume, repeatable deployments. Works closely with global teams to ensure quality, reliability, and adherence to standardized procedures.
Expactations:
- Deliver robust deployment solutions for enterprise applications using MSI or App‑V packaging.
- Ensure successful releases through UAT, QA, inventory validation, and production support.
- Maintain deployment monitoring, documentation, and continuous improvement.
- Communicate risks, issues, and status updates proactively across geographic teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Package and test applications (MSI, App‑V).
- Execute remote deployments via SCCM and other management platforms.
- Plan and monitor deployment cycles, including inventory checks and performance reviews.
- Perform root‑cause analysis and troubleshoot deployment/production issues.
- Automate deployment and configuration tasks using VBScript and PowerShell.
- Monitor deployments with Process Monitor, Registry Monitor, File Monitor, and other utilities.
- Coordinate deployment rollout via Active Directory and Group Policy Objects.
- Document processes, troubleshooting steps, and resolution details.
- Collaborate with U.S., European, and Indian teams to manage global deployments.
Required Skills:
- 3–5+ years experience in desktop engineering, application packaging, and remote deployment.
- Proficiency with SCCM, Active Directory, Group Policy, and deployment monitoring tools.
- Experience with virtualization (VMware) and monitoring utilities (Process Monitor, Registry Monitor, File Monitor).
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and analytical skills.
- Detail‑oriented, quality‑focused, adaptable to evolving tools and environments.
- Familiarity with high‑volume deployments (≥1 M annual).
- Understanding of databases and SQL triggers (advantage).
- Knowledge of Numecent (Cloudpaging) and EUPS (Unix/Windows) tools (preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- SCCM certification or equivalent in Microsoft technologies preferred.
