Job Title: Systems Administrator Role Summary: Deliver end‑to‑end management, optimization, and security of operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) infrastructure across wind, solar, and transmission sites. Act as a technical liaison for cross‑functional projects, drive compliance with NERC CIP and other regulatory standards, and provide Tier‑2/3 support for SCADA and substation environments. Expectations: - Maintain high availability, performance, and resilience of OT servers, hypervisors, storage, and backup systems. - Lead and document deployments, migrations, and upgrades that enhance security, reliability, and scalability. - Collaborate with IT, Cybersecurity, Engineering, and vendors to align technical solutions with business and compliance objectives. - Proactively identify improvement opportunities, implement solutions, and measure impact. Key Responsibilities: - **Infrastructure Administration** – Configure, maintain, and monitor Windows Server, Linux, VMware/Hyper‑V, and hyperconverged platforms; manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, PKI, and RODC. - **Backup & DR** – Deploy and administer backup/restore solutions (Veeam, Commvault) and ensure disaster‑recovery readiness. - **Monitoring & Capacity Planning** – Operate monitoring tools (PRTG, SolarWinds) to perform health checks, performance tuning, and capacity forecasts. - **Project & Compliance Support** – Design, implement, and document solutions for OT and compliance projects; prepare audit evidence and support incident response. - **OT Security** – Enforce NERC CIP Low/Medium Impact controls, manage patching, logging, change management, and remediate vulnerabilities in partnership with Cybersecurity. - **Tier‑2/3 Technical Support** – Resolve SCADA, substation, and IT edge issues; coordinate with site technicians, engineers, and vendors. - **Documentation** – Create and update architecture diagrams, SOPs, and training materials for peers and end users.
