Job Title: Software Quality Assurance Engineer Role Summary: Ensures the quality of Simplifi web and mobile products by designing test plans, executing manual and automated tests, and collaborating across product, development, and QA teams. Expectations: Deliver dependable, high‑quality releases; identify and document defects; drive continuous improvement of QA processes; stay current with web/mobile testing tools and best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Develop comprehensive test documentation and strategy based on product understanding. - Determine root cause of bugs (client vs. server) using documentation and networking tools. - Write clear reproduction steps and prioritize test cases with the team. - Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA analysts to resolve specification gaps. - Recommend improvements to product reliability, performance, and QA practices. - Expand and maintain Cypress‑based automation scripts. - Log, troubleshoot, and manage defects in Jira. - Evaluate new testing technologies for web and mobile applications. Required Skills: - 3+ years of professional web and/or mobile testing for consumer‑facing applications. - API testing expertise (REST) and understanding of client‑server communication. - Experience updating test plans/suites in a fast‑paced, feature‑heavy environment. - Proficiency with at least two of: JavaScript, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Java, Jenkins. - Strong defect‑tracking proficiency using Jira. - Ability to triage, prioritize, and propose resolutions. - Excellent verbal and written communication. - Independent, self‑motivated, ownership mindset.
