Senior Salesforce Engineer – Salesforce Developer
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Salesforce Lightning applications, Apex code, and visualforce pages within a highly customized Salesforce org. Collaborate with business analysts, product managers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, secure, and performant solutions that support both internal processes and external community portals.
**Expectations**
- Deliver high‑quality, production‑ready code consistent with Salesforce best practices.
- Optimize solution performance, security, and scalability.
- Contribute to architecture decisions and design patterns across the platform.
- Ensure timely releases, including sandbox testing, deployment, and post‑deployment verification.
- Maintain clear, documented procedures and offer operational support with accurate reporting.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop new features and enhance existing Salesforce components (Lightning, Apex, Visualforce, JavaScript).
- Configure and customize objects, fields, security profiles, roles, sharing rules, and public groups.
- Manage end‑to‑end release cycles: change management, sandbox testing, production deployment, and user acceptance.
- Load, extract, and manipulate data using Data Loader, reports, and scheduled jobs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve functional and integration issues; provide expedited fixes for user‑impacting problems.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and validate business requirements.
- Stay current with Salesforce releases; apply platform updates to enhance functionalities.
**Required Skills**
- 8+ years of Salesforce declarative and programmatic development experience.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce data models, security, performance tuning, and architecture.
- Expertise in Lightning Web Components, Apex, Visualforce, JavaScript, and REST/SOAP integrations.
- Experience with sandbox lifecycle, change sets, and deployment automation tools.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II (mandatory).
- Salesforce Certified Architect (Application or System) – preferred.
- Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
