**Job title** Group Head of Category Development **Role Summary** Lead the development and execution of a group‑wide category strategy for a leading international food business. Drive growth by leveraging data insights, collaborating with sales and category teams across divisions, and creating playbooks for e‑commerce and social media. **Expectations** - Build and champion a coherent category strategy across all markets. - Utilize analytics to uncover growth opportunities and inform business decisions. - Influence stakeholders at all levels within a matrix organization to align initiatives with group objectives. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop and update the category strategy framework. - Conduct market, consumer, and competitive analyses to identify trends and opportunities. - Partner with international sales, marketing, and category teams to integrate strategy into go‑to‑market plans. - Lead cross‑functional product launch activities and support pipeline development. - Design and implement playbooks for e‑commerce and digital marketing initiatives. - Track and report on category performance metrics, adjusting tactics as needed. - Champion category growth in emerging markets and support expansion into new geographies. **Required Skills** - Strategic thinking and strong commercial acumen. - Advanced analytical capabilities and a data‑driven mindset. - Proven ability to influence and collaborate across a complex, matrixed organization. - FMCG category leadership experience, preferably with food categories. - Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field. - Preferred certifications in marketing, analytics, or food science.
