**Job Title**
Head of Data (Data Management, Data Science, AI)
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, implementation, and governance of Agriodor’s data strategy across R&D, marketing, and other functions. Drive data‑driven decision making, ensure data quality and security, prepare the data architecture for AI/ML, and deploy advanced analytics solutions.
**Expectations**

* Provide statistical rigor and experimental design expertise for all research programs.
* Champion AI/ML projects from concept to production, contributing to the company’s long‑term digital strategy.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. **Data Architecture & Management** – Design and maintain SQL/NoSQL databases, establish data quality, integrity, security, and compliance protocols; cleanse and integrate historical and external datasets (agronomic, environmental, entomological).
2. **Data Literacy & Tool Enablement** – Train teams on data collection, cleaning, and analysis tools (SQL, R, Python, SAS, visualization platforms).
3. **Advanced Analytics & Biostatistics** – Develop new analytical methods, support experimental design, and provide statistical advice for publications and regulatory dossiers.
4. **AI/ML Deployment** – Identify opportunities for predictive modeling and in‑silico screening; create PoCs, MVPs, and pilot LLM/AI agent solutions for R&D and other business units.
5. **Strategic Leadership** – Collaborate with the Executive Committee on digital strategy, coordinate external CIO support, and structure the emerging Data Department.
**Required Skills**
* 10+ years in data management, data science, and statistical analysis (life sciences preferred).
* Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL, R, Python, SAS, and data visualization tools.
* Knowledge of ML frameworks (scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and experience with AI/LLM tools.
* Strong experimental design, advanced statistical modeling, and analytical thinking.
* Excellent communication, teamwork, autonomy, and change‑management skills.
* Fluency in English and French (advanced).
**Required Education & Certifications**
* Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or related field.
