Job Description
**Job title:** Commissioning Shift Operator **Role Summary:** Operate and monitor power generation equipment (boilers, turbines, generators, reactors) in a waste‑to‑energy plant. Support commissioning tasks, maintain mechanical tools, and ensure compliance with HSEQ standards while reporting variations to the Commissioning Manager. **Expactations:** - Adhere to contract timeline, budget, and HSEQ requirements. - Deliver reliable operation of plant equipment and facilities. - Keep mechanical tools clean and readily available. - Communicate effectively with the commissioning team and other project members. **Key Responsibilities:** - Operate and control plant equipment via semi‑automated control systems and standalone panels. - Perform mechanical maintenance (filter cleaning, greasing, pump dismounting, consumable replenishment). - Clean equipment and maintain tool readiness. - Report any variations, issues, or incidents to the Commissioning Manager. - Liaise with Commissioning Manager, Lead Engineers, and shift team leaders. - Ensure all work meets contract, time, budget, and HSEQ requirements. **Required Skills:** - Knowledge of HSEQ legal and management system requirements. - Solution‑oriented, effective verbal and written communication in English. - Ability to present ideas clearly. - Experience as a Control Room Operator in waste‑fuel, biomass or fossil‑fuel power plants. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Valid Safety Contractor Certificate (SCC), Safepass (ROI), CSCS or CCNSG card, or equivalent. ---
