Job Title: IT Engineer (Level 2)
Role Summary:
Provide Level 2 technical support within the IT Service Desk, resolving complex incidents, maintaining service quality for roughly 3,000 users, and supporting a broad portfolio of Windows and Microsoft cloud technologies.
Expectations:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a comparable technical IT role.
- Ability to deputise for the IT Service Desk Team Leader.
- Drive incident resolution within corporate SLAs while meeting performance targets.
- Demonstrate high customer‑satisfaction metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve advanced desktop, server, and network incidents.
- Manage a high volume of incidents and service requests with root‑cause analysis.
- Maintain and monitor Windows Server (2008/2012/2016/2019/2022), Windows 10/11, VMware ESXi, and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Administer Azure, Intune, Autopilot, AVD, Defender for Endpoint, and Office 365 services.
- Configure and manage Active Directory, Group Policies, and related identity services.
- Support hardware across Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS platforms.
- Document solutions, update knowledge base, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work three shift rotations (8 am‑6 pm) and volunteer up to four weekend shifts annually.
Required Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of Windows Server & Desktop, Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, VMware.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policies, Autopilot, AVD, Office 365, and Microsoft Defender.
- Proficiency in desktop/laptop/mobile hardware troubleshooting (Windows, macOS, Android, iOS).
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, organisation, and multi‑tasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a high‑volume service desk.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in IT or related field.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Recent Microsoft qualification (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365).
